Hello All. Yep we have arrived in NY. We've been here now for 3 days and just love the place!!!
Day 1. Arrived on time nearly got fleeced by a taxi man but team RA just got out of the car - Robbing Yankee T##t!! Team RA are wise he didn't know that you see.....Got our bearings and found a proper American burger place in the hood which is where we are staying!!! Honestly it really is!!
Day 2. Went to Empire State building, Madison Sq Gardens, Times Sq, Broadway, Macy's (5th Av) then managed to get hold of some Baseball tickets to see the Yankee's against the Boston Red Sox - apparently the game of the season, we bought massive foam fingers and t shirts but got bored and left half way through - not much action, they couldn't hit the ball! We were very disappointed in how The Moose and Jeter played considering they are our favourite players
Day 3. Started off the day with a massive salad bowl on the start of broadway, then headed to Wall St and saw an American Express ad being filmed, then went to Ground Zero and Rockafeller Center. Around 3:30 we went to 'The London' - Gordon Ramsey's joint and had afternoon tea- very nice and English. After this we got one of those bike taxi's around Central Park and saw where John Lennon got shot.
Probably staying a few more days in New York as there's loads to see i.e. Brooklyn Bridge and Statue of Lib etc etc. Having a great time and can't believe we haven't come here before now, just about got to grips with the subway and feeling like proper Yank's "I'll have my eggs sunny side up Troy"
